The Troubled Dark Soul

Very first blog post incoming!

Welcome fellow music lovers and kindred spirits of the vast online world!

Are you ready to get your daily dose of Dossas in?

Every Friday, I will give you a peek inside my musical journey through the depths of my troubled, yet beautiful soul. I'm thrilled to have you all here and excited to share my thoughts, experiences, and of course, my music with you. This is my sanctuary, my little corner of the internet where my resilient soul will find peace through the power of sound. I am thrilled to share with you my thoughts as I embark on this electrifying adventure of self-expression, exploration, and vulnerability.

First things first, let me introduce myself. I'm a multi-instrumentalist who thrives on exploring different genres to convey the myriad of emotions that constantly swirl within me.

Think of me as a musical explorer,

diving headfirst into the vast ocean of sounds, hoping to reach out and touch the divine energy that music brings to us.

Without getting too nerdy on you, sound is just a bunch of vibrating particles moving through the air and I’m just trying to capture a few of those beautiful vibrations and share them with you.

We are all vastly different people with such different viewpoints. We speak different languages, we listen to different kinds of music, and we live in different parts of the world.

The only thing that unites us all is the language of sound: more specifically, the power of music.

Rhythm and Sound have been imprinted in the fabrics of our identities since the dawn of time.

Music offers a place where love roams freely and creative expression thrives.

We are all free and expressive creatures when we find that one song that just hits different.

Music is my therapy, my lifeline, it helps me fight off anxiety and worries that threaten to consume me. And my biggest hope is that my sonic explorations can offer a similar therapeutic release for you. We all have that desire to feel emotions without being overwhelmed by them, and through sound healing I think we all can reach that place. Sound bathes, EMDR, and Binaural beats have all been monumental therapeutic practices that have helped me to explore my inner darkness. I have found myself immersed in some very relaxing and tantric moments where I truly felt like I had escaped… mind you completely sober at times… and it’s all thanks to that power of sound. Music is like a spaceship straight to the deepest secrets of my heart and soul. These moments have inspired me to embark on a life-long journey to master my craft and hone-in on my talents to create world-class sounds that not only entertain, but help you escape, not only captivate, but help heal!

My project I will share first with you is called ‘Dystopia Mode’ and it takes a look at that internal struggle of darkness. I have cultivated some works over the past couple of years to capture the imprint of my internal fear and pride. I had to break down some inner walls, and now I’m breaking down a lot of external walls. I get to face these challenges head on through various creative expressions by tirelessly creating content for my socials and this website to launch ‘Dystopia Mode’ properly. My own insecurities and lack of action has held me back in the past, so I want this EP to mark a new chapter in my life. One where I take the necessary actions to give my deserving work the platform it needs to thrive. I want it to reach as many listeners as possible. And in the meantime, while I get my shit together over here, let's just relish in the fact that we're embarking on this journey together, united by our shared love for music.

Together, let’s explore, inspire, and get lost in the labyrinth of creativity.

And most importantly, let us heal through the power of music.

Keep those headphones on and let music be your escape! (Or not! Preferably use your favorite pair of monitors in a treated room). Let’s build a community together where we are all safe to explore our darkness and heal with one song at a time.

Thank you for joining me on this wild ride, and until next Friday,

Dossas
